A group of Manitoba fishermen will be in court Monday, answering to charges relating to a fish seizure from the Duck Bay area in 2011. Several members of the WMM Fish Co-op had their fish seized in July 2011, after their export permit was suspended as a result of a conflict of interest complaint from the Freshwater Fish Marketing Corporation. WMM Fish Co-op Director Frank Kenyon tells CJ Radio that the proceedings have moved from the Pink Creek First Nation to Winnipeg.
Kenyon adds that the fishermen will be holding a demonstration outside the Winnipeg Law Courts building at 11am Monday.
