Manitoba Beef Producers General Manager Cam Dahl says new U.S. regulations on country-of-origin labelling will cost Manitoba's industry about 640-million dollars a year. Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz says Canada is considering all options to fight the regulations including retaliatory measures. The Canadian government sees the rules as costly, burdensome, and will lead to the disintegration of the North American supply chain.
