Police vehicles seen at the SVRSS last week caused some alarm. However, Swan River RCMP are now confirming that the vehicles were there to apprehend a patient rather than a criminal. Early Thursday evening, police were called to assist ambulance in locating a patient who had bolted from the hospital. Police and ambulance personnel searched the area, and found the 22-year-old man at the SVRSS parking lot. The patient was apprehended and returned to the hospital without further incident. Witness reports say that the man was seen walking down Main Street wearing only a hospital gown and slippers.
