RM Passes Budget

After three readings and a public hearing, the RM of Swan River has passed its 2012 budget. The budget includes notable increases for transportation services, which covers plowing, grading, culvert repair, and road commissions, and other transportation related costs. Reeve Lorne Henkelman tells CJ 104 that the increase is due to a couple of factors.

A total of 145-thousand dollars is included in the budget for repair and maintenance of the Big Woody haul road. The complete budget amount for transportation services is just over one point three million dollars, nearly half of the RMs total expenses.
