Town Considering Cleanup Day

The Town of Swan River is considering a town clean up day to spruce up Swan River before we play host to hundreds of people for the 2012 PowerSmart Manitoba Summer Games. Wayne Grier spoke at Tuesday’s council meeting, and asked that the town consider being a part of the effort.

Many options for a clean up day next month are being considered, including a donation per bag of garbage as an incentive. Sponsorship from local businesses is an alternative to having the cleanup funded by Swan River tax dollars.
