Hwy. 487 Rollover UPDATE

Police are investigating a single vehicle rollover that occurred early this morning on PR 487, about 3 miles west of Kenville. A 1991 GMC Safari van reportedly rolled and landed in the east bound lane of the gravel road. Police, ambulance, and fire crews attended the scene. Emergency workers were able to cut away the vehicle to extract the male driver. Witnesses say that the driver was in the car with a teenage female, who was able to escape with minor injuries. Students on a school bus witnessed the accident. However, the driver of the bus did not call 911 until about 20 minutes later, upon arrival at the SVRSS. The driver of the bus tells CJ104 that he radio’d the bus garage for assistance after reaching Highway 83.
