Head-On Crash Kills Elderly Man from Inglis, Man.

An elderly man is dead following a head on collision late Saturday on Highway 16.

The crash happened just before midnight about 10 kilometres south of Russell and involved a northbound SUV and a southbound pickup truck.

RCMP say two of the passengers in the truck were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital while the driver was uninjured.

The 73 year-old man from Inglis, Man. driving the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene.

RCMP say he was the SUV’s lone occupant.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
