The rain storm impacting the Swan River Valley is causing numerous problems today.
In Swan River, power was out to the west and south sections of town due to a downed power line. Crews were able to restore service. There was also a widespread outage in the Thunderhill area and smaller outages reported in other locations.
The power outage means that sump pumps could not run in basements.
Several streets in Swan River partially flooded as storm sewers could not keep up with the water flow.
It is expected there may be further damage to roads in the rural areas.
