The Swan Valley Historical Museum has received the first two of three containers that were donated by the Manitoba Government. The containers were originally used as visitation shelters during the Covid-19 outbreaks. Earlier this year the province announced they were no longer needed and would be donated to community groups.
The museum was awarded a total of three containers. The Thunder Hill Ski Club received two.
One of the containers at the museum is expected to be used for a train station for the miniature railroad. The third contained is expected to arrive in the coming weeks. The museum is responsible for the cost of transporting the containers but did not pay anything to the government for them.
