Cashier Assaulted

Swan River RCMP say what started as shoplifting turned into an assault last night. A store employee at Extra Foods confronted a shop lifter as they attempted to leave the stove. The 29 year old female assaulted the employee. Officers attended but the suspect had left. She is known to both the employee and police. Charges of theft and assault are pending. The 29 year old female is from Swan River. She is well known for shoplifting at numerous other businesses.
